ETPU (Expanded Thermoplastic Polyurethane Elastomer)

Category:

Product Description

ETPU is a lightweight elastomer produced by physically foaming TPU pellets via supercritical fluid technology. Its core properties stem from the combination of polyurethane segment design and foaming process: soft segments (polyether, polyester, etc.) provide flexibility, while hard segments (isocyanate, chain extenders, and urethane groups) form physical cross-linking points. After supercritical foaming, ETPU maintains high rebound resilience—far exceeding traditional materials like EVA. With a closed-cell structure and density as low as 0.1–0.16 g/cm³, it offers excellent compression set resistance, low-temperature resistance, anti-yellowing, and hydrolysis resistance. ETPU has been widely applied in footwear, sports protection, pet toys, and more, demonstrating significant potential.

Miracll operates the world's largest ETPU production capacity of 20,000 tons/year. Leveraging its integrated supply chain in isocyanates, polyols, and TPU, the company has built an innovative ETPU team and a high-performance, cost-effective product portfolio. Miracll’s ETPU series supported by full intellectual property rights. Available in white, black, and colored variants, these products expand the possibilities for ETPU applications.
