MIRAECO® Footwear PUD Resin | Core Raw Materials Base of High-performance Water-based Footwear Adhesives
Jul 03,2026
The widespread transition to water-based technology has become a defining trend in the footwear industry. The performance limits of high-quality shoe adhesives are primarily dictated by their underlying resins. Key industry pain points—such as weak initial adhesion, poor bonding strength, inadequate heat resistance, and the yellowing of light-colored shoe uppers—are often closely linked to deficiencies in the basic properties of these resin raw materials.
Miracll’s MIRAECO® water-based polyurethane resin series for footwear utilizes pure water as the dispersion medium. By leveraging the advantages of its self-developed isocyanate and polyol core raw materials, Miracll optimizes the molecular structure of the resin, thereby significantly enhancing its overall performance.

The product contains no formaldehyde, APEO, or organotins. Featuring low VOCs and low odor levels, it complies with REACH, RoHS, and eco-testing standards for footwear exports. At the application level, it is ideal for the manufacturing of sports, casual, and children's shoes, offering excellent compatibility with all major shoe materials, including mesh fabric, leather, PVC, PU, EVA, and TPR. It serves as a reliable base resin for adhesive manufacturers formulating proprietary water-based adhesives, as well as for direct use by shoe factories.

1.Strong instant tack: Enables Precise Positioning on High-Speed Production Lines
Initial tack strength is the key metric for evaluating footwear adhesive quality, yet it has long been a bottleneck in water-based adhesive development. Built on a proprietary water-based resin system, the MIRAECO® U1115D series ensures that the sprayed adhesive bonds and sets instantly upon contact. Without the need for prolonged pressing or lengthy standing times, it fundamentally prevents shoe uppers from shifting during assembly, drastically minimizes rework and material waste, and seamlessly integrates into automated, high-speed spraying lines to maximize production throughput.
2. Outstanding initial and final bonding strength, achieving substrate failure rather than adhesive failure.
Powered by a unique isocyanate-assisted resin synthesis process, this formula creates strong internal cohesion during film formation, blending stable early-stage tack with robust long-term crosslinking strength. In standard 24-hour room-temperature peel tests on finished footwear, the shoe upper remains perfectly intact without bulging or delamination. Because the bond strength outperforms the shoe material itself, it effectively prevents finished shoes from peeling after delivery.
3. Superior heat and yellowing resistance, delivering stable performance across all working environments
①Heat Resistance
Engineered with an ultra-dense molecular film structure, this adhesive layer survives 24 hours of exposure in a 70°C oven without a single trace of edge cracking or peeling. It effortlessly endures the harsh demands of high-temperature summer storage and intensive tropical wear, surpassing the heat resistance limits of conventional resins.
②Excellent Yellowing Resistance
Leveraging a 100% aliphatic polyurethane system, this series delivers premium color stability, and reaches a yellowing resistance grade of ≥4 after a 4-hour 30W UV aging test. White leather and light-colored shoes are perfectly protected against yellowing and discoloration, even throughout long-term warehouse storage. This resin series is ideal for high-end footwear brands that demand consistent, defect-free mass production.
4. Clog-free spraying, high formulation compatibility, and enhanced cost-efficiency.
Boasting uniform particle size and superior rheology, this smooth, finely dispersed emulsion prevents nozzle clogging and coagulation during high-speed application. With its stable, highly reliable solid content, factories can easily customize formulas with various additives to create high-solids adhesives. As no extra solvents are required, it effectively cuts your costs on storage, transportation, and production operation.
When paired with the MIRAECO® water-based curing agent, it unlocks even higher heat resistance, superior waterproofing performance, and maximum final bonding strength.
